A short but informative piece on Kendo. Classes have been good so far, learning basic swings, kata, and footwork. Good news is my gi and hakama (see picture below) have arrived woohoo! Can't wait to put it on. I dunno, wearing a t-shirt and loose pants reminds me I'm a beginner, seems to take the fun a bit out of things hehehe.

your gi looks very nice .. imagine training wearing pink or green or yellow or purple gi .. hehehe .. would be really nice too !!! self expression using favorite colored gi for training. Lagi semangat !!! hehehe .. owh, i really like the hakama !! ^_^ *

I've seen a few colours in my dojo, although most tend to wear indigo coloured gi like mine. I'm looking forward to changing the wrist guard on my shinai now heh heh.
My hakama is a bit long, so I had to wear it kinda high yesterday :p Will need to shrink it down a bit, or alter it soon. Take care!

'ter'found your blog while browsing for some kendo pics.. Haha..didnt kno u also dig Kendo. Actually, I was about to take my 1st Kendo class on June, before Aikido, but later decided to learn Aikido 1st, since i couldnt afford the Bogu and all things Kendo.. (altho the fee is low @ RM10 per month!)

Yo Nabil! Thanks for the comments! Kendo I started only a couple of months back! of course I remember man, in fact was gonna ask bout the DVD from the Gasshuku.
Just join Kendo if you like man, Bogu will come later, when you're 7th kyu and above, but yeah a bit pricey. Otherwise everything else is manageable, 200 for the gi and hakama, and about 80 for the shinai.
